Halloween

Now this is a super fun activity to do on Halloween! Gather people in a circle and have everyone close their eyes and look at the ground. One person will say a word that relates to Halloween and from their people will put in their own words, creating a story. If you want, you can have someone record the short story for reading later on!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! Have any New Year resolutions? Well, I suggest doing something like a bucket list, like the list of things you want to do or accomplish before you die. Some things that I have tried and have heard from others are as follows:
1. Lose some weight
2. Be a more sociable person
3. Try to get more exercise
4. Learn a second language
5. Use better manners
6. Make more friends
7. Reunite with people you haven't seen for a long time
8. Read some books
9. Sky dive(LOL)
10. Create your own cool craft idea

Now it's your turn. Compile a list of resolutions for the year 2010. Have a Happy New Year!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone! So, how many of you have trouble writing really good Christmas cards? I know it can be hard, but I'll give you a few pointers that might help you. First, always start with a rough draft, never write in the card itself first. Second, pour your heart into the message. Most people I write letters and send cards to I haven't seen for a long time, so I try to fill them in on everything new in my life. You might want to try that(might also result in a phone call about some of your news).Third, revise what you've written. Make sure that everything in the message you want there. Fourth, send that letter/card in the mail. Your recipient will love it!

Help with Friends.

Now, I know I'm not a guidance counselor and I'm not the perfect friend but one of my followers asked about what to do when her old friends start giving her a hard time. My blog has has nothing to do with friendship skills but if someone needs help, I'm willing to take the challenge. My advice to my follower and anyone else, if some one won't leave you alone or is constantly teasing you, ignore them. Just remember, don't drop down to their level. Stand tall and proud and by doing so, you will defeat them. And keep in mind, if they are teasing you then they obviously are hurt inside or jealous or just plain bullies. You will always be stronger then them if you don't let them know they are irritating you or angering you or hurting you self esteem. If you start to feel like this isn't helping, then I would suggest talking to it about some one you trust or a teacher or your school guidance counselor. I hope this has helped you!

ASK ME!

It has come to my attention that one of my followers was curious about my poem The Dream. She wanted to know what the poem indicated and what it was all about. When she read the title and the poem, she though of the dream as being a wish or goal, when it was meant to be a dream you get while your asleep. Now, this was, believe it or not, a tip or fragment of advise. This helped me realize that when writing my poems, I need to look out for what I say and trying harder to get my message across to the reader. Thanks for your question. These are the types of thing that I'm looking for!=]

Recipes

Recipes are also a form of writing. When writing a recipe, you need to be precise at descriptive. Here's and idea. To practise clarity of writing describe how to make a peanut butter sandwitch for someone who has no idea how to. Write it very precisly and step by step. This really exersises your skills!

No Bake Cookies!

Ingredients:
2c. sugar
1/2c. cocoa(I suggest doubling the cocoa)
1/2c. shortening or margarine
1/2c. milk
3c. oatmeal
1/2c. peanut butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Put in large saucepan and bring to a boil for 2 min. with sugar, cocoa, shortening, and milk. Remove from heat and add oatmeal, peanut butter, and vanilla. Drop on a cookie sheet lined with wax paper. Cool for 5 min., then refrigerate. You can add raisins, dates, nuts, or whatever you want.

Poems?

So how many of you are still stuck on how to write a poem? Well, ask for some advice and I'll give it to ya! Go ahead, ask!

Advice on a Friendship Piece!

One of my viewers asked a very good question. They wanted to know how to start a writing piece that describes how important their friends are to them. I would suggest that you start like this(if these are your friends name):
Susan, Marsha, and Amy Lee. The best friends that anyone could ever have. They are my supporters, they replaces those weak chains in my life and make me stronger. They are part of me. And this is why:

There you have it. At the end, I would suggest adding fun and important stories about you and your buds that show how you guys have grown stronger over the years. Also try to add some stories about fights you may have had. These also make the piece more believable to any reader because all friends fight. Thanks for your question!
